Archibald's gravestone says died 1909, aged 90, and gives his wife's name as Margaret Dixon, who died in 1910 at the age of 87. Also buried with them was a son William Charles, aged 4.

A newspaper article about Kingston PEI noted the number of older residents, including Archibald, whose father it was said lived to be 104 years.


There departed this life on the 18th of October [1909] Archibald Livingstone, Clyde River, at the advanced age of 90 years. He leaves to mourn a sorrowing widow, one son Boyd of Clyde River, and two daughters, Mrs. Herbert Lowther of Crapaud and Mrs. James Beer of Clyde River.
