Narrative

Pathways to the Present says Flora married Archibald McKillop. However, all of the New Brunswick newspaper items say he was Alexander McKillop, and the couple who signed an indenture with the rest of the family after the death of Flora's brother Edward.

Alexander and Flora had children Penelope, Jane, Catherine, Angus, Clementina, Flora, Mary, Margaret, Alexina in the 1851 census of NB.

Flora was a widow living in Newcastle NB in the 1861 census with Catherine, Flora, Mary, Margaret, and Maxine. She had been born on the Island.

In NB census records for 1871, there is a Flora McKillop born on PEI around 1802, a widow, living with the Harper family. (dau. Catherine was the wife of Charles Harper)
