On Tuesday, October 20, the community of Clyde River was shocked to hear that Mrs. Austin Hyde, a very highly esteemed residen, had passed peacefully away at the age of 49 years. For several years the deceased had been in rather poor ghealth, but none of the loved ones or nearest friends had ever expected that the end would come so suddenly. About two weeks before her death, she was taken down with a stroke of paralysis from which it was hoped that she would soon recover. but as she had had one or two slight strokes before this one, such was not the case. Instead of improving, she rew gradually weaker untl on the above mentioned date her gentle spirit winged its heavenward flight.

Besides a sorrowing husband, Mrs. Hyde leaves to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother, three sons, namely George, Montague and Colwill, all at home. the father and the sons are feeling their loss very keenly.

the deceased was one of a family of three brothers and two sisters. the brothers who survived Mrs. Hyde are James Livingston and George Livingston, both of Clyde River. Another brother William Livingston, Winnipeg, passed away some years ago. The sister is Mrs. albert Boyle, Chatham, Mass.

Mrs. Hyde was a lady who was held in high esteem by all who had the privledge of knowing her. She was of a quiet, retiring disposition and was one whose true worth could only be appreciated by those who had really come to know her. she was much devoted to her family...Guardian December 22 1931, page 10
