George Robert Campbell
(September 20, 1933 - August 23, 2012)

George Robert Campbell - 78, passed away surrounded by his children on August 23 at Parkstone Estates, Halifax. Born in Baltic, Prince Edward Island, he was the son of George Ellis and Greta Blanche (nee MacLeod) Campbell. He was a former employee of Canadian Liquid Air as well as the owner and operator of R. Campbell Cleaning and Maintenance. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kensington P.E.I and also Somme Branch, Dartmouth, as well as a former member of the Buffalo Club of Dartmouth. He was predeceased by his parents, as well as sisters Marion and Shirley. Surviving are former wife Shirley Campbell (Champion); brothers Donald, Darnley P.E.I., Ethan, Halifax, Edward, Charlottetown, P.E.I., Joyce Merchant, Trenton, Edith MacKay, Charlottetown P.E.I, Harriet Goldsmith, Richmond Hill, Ont., Marjorie Iaboni, Richmond Hill, Ont., Eleanor Truesdell, Montreal, Que.; children, Cindy (Jon), Dartmouth; Robert (Loretta), Berwick and Brenda (Chris) Levy, Dartmouth, and five grandchildren Alicia, Dallas, Mikayla, Mark, and Nathaniel. Visitation will be held at Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen Street Dartmouth on Monday, August 27 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m. Internment will be at a later date in Malpeque People's Cemetary, P.E.I.
