He learned the drug business at Kensing- ton and soon aft/er removed to Montague where he went into business for himself. The deceased was a prominent citizen of Montague and will be a great loss to the community. He was a successful fox rancher when the industry

Surviving are his wife formerly Annie MacLean of Montague and five children, Randolph, Mrs Hubert Mabon, Montague, Doris, nurse in the King's County Hospital, Montague, Arthur Carruthers who is carrying on his father's business and Amanda at home.

Two brothers and two sisters, all at Lashburn Sask: Irving and Bennett, Mrs H. A. Ellis and Mrs Duncan Forbes, while another sister Mrs W. M. Dennis is at Ottawa.
