Sarah Jane married Fred Rennie; they owned a small store in Alma known as "Rennie's Store"; they raised a family of six: Florence (Mrs. Raymond Matheson) in the United States; Arthur married Lulu Williams; Blanche married Kenneth Crockett; Sydney married Beatrice Matthews; Ralph married Blanche McNeill; Vera married Leigh McNeill. In the Cummins 1928 Atlas of PEI, Fred and Janie were in Alma with children Arthur, Sydney, Blanche, Florence, Vera and Ralph.

Death of Mrs. Fred Rennie of Alma one of the most highly respected citizens of Alma. Mrs. Fred Rennie. passed away yesterday morning. May 15th. in the Prince Edward Island Hospital, Charlottetown.

She was survived by sons Arthur and Ralph, Sidney, Florence (Mrs Brown), Blanche (Mrs. Keith Crockett) and Vera.
