Narrative

John married Ruth MacNaught, daughter of Robert C. McNaught - from Robert's obituary " three daughters, Mrs. John T. (Ruth) Dyment, Quincey, Mass., ..." John was age 24 and Ruth was 22 when they married. From border crossing records, it looks like Ruth went back to PEI for the births of her first two children.

US census: John Dyment, wife Ruth, children Julia Jean, George, Chester, Verna, Robert. John was age 31 in the 1930 census. Included in the household is a Leo Houle, son, but on the image there is an arrow indicating that Leo belongs with an earlier entry on the page.

On his naturalization form in 1926, John Thomas Dyment listed three children: Jean (4), Chester (3) and Verna (1).
