Dyment Diamond, Hudson C. 1a 2a 3a 4a

Birth Name Dyment Diamond, Hudson C. 4b
Gender male
Age at Death 38 years, 4 months, 1 day

Hudson was born on the Island, and was age 15 in the 1881 census. He went with his parents to Massachusetts around 1891, where he can be found in a Salem city directory in 1895, a tailor, living in a boarding house. He married Mattie Jaques from Nova Scotia in Massachusetts in 1898.

In the US census of 1900, Mattie (Mrs. H.C. Dyment) was living with her parents and her two children, Gladys and an infant son, unnamed. Hudson was not with them, but Mattie gave her status as married. I was unable to find Hudson in this census.

Hudson, a tailor, was in Massachusetts up until the 1905 Salem Massachusetts city directory.

It looks like he went to California to look for work, or to visit family:

Diamond, b. 1878 was a widow; by 1920 they were living in Danvers, Essex Massachusetts - Gladys M (age 20) and Chauncey, age 19. Mattie's mother, Agnes E. Jacques, was also living with the family.
