Narrative
Mary and her sister Georgianna died of exposure to cold.
Mary, age 75, and Georgianna, age 72, were found frozen to death in their home at 4259 Connecticut St in January 1955. The sisters had been wards of St. Vincent de Paul Society and had concented to go to a nursing home, but after a month insisted on returning home. Miss Mary Ramsay seldom left the house and was hardly able to move about. Miss Georgianna's speech had been affected by a stroke, but neighbours said she was able to go shopping. Father Bremerich said he understood the sisters have a brother who is a patient in an Illinois institution.
