A Contractor Who Has Erected Nearly a Thousand Buildings Since lie Has Been In Business. C. J. McArtliur has done as much asthe majority of Cambridge builders, if not more, to help the growth and development of the city. He commenced business on a small scale alamt twentynine years ago. and up to this time is credited with the erection of between IHMI and I.iiihi buildings, including apartment houses, tenements, residences and stores. Many of the four and six-family apartment houses on I'ntnam avenue were built by Mr. McArtliur. Several .-lpartnient houses on Banks nnd on Franklin streets were also erected by him. In fact, scattered through the city are specimens of his construction work. His bafldlßg operations have extended into Boston, Soincrville, Arlington. Brighton and Watertown. Through a wide and practical experience, Mr. McArtliur is qunlitied to undertake any ordinary contract. He hns the reputation of following plans nnd specifications to the letter, both in the matter of materials nnd workmanship, and employs only experienced and competent work men, j A specialty is made of Jobbing, remodeling and alteration work.
