Sympathy is extended to the sur- vivlng relatives of the late Alpheus Ramsay. whose death occured re- cently at his home in Mount Plea- sant. Guardian Jan 18 1957

In less than a week death called a second time in Mount Pleasant. This time claiming Alpheus Parker Ramsay in his 80th year. The deceased had been in his usual good health Saturday evening Dec 29th when he was suddenly stricken with a cerebral hemorrage. He was removed to the Stewart Memorial Health Centre, Tyne Valley where ...he passed away on January 3rd.
the deceased spent all of his life in Mount Pleasant where he followed the trade of carpenter. He was a man of quiet disposition and his life centred chiefly in his home.

He leaves...his wife, the former Mathilda Penwarden; four daughters and five sons, namely Mildred, Summerside; Mrs Florence Mahoney, Watertown, Mass; Mabel, Mrs Albert Wilks, Moncton; Olive, Mrs. James Campbell, Mount Pleasant; Howard, Watertown, MA; Roland, Moncton; Eldon, RCAF, Vancouver; Wilbur, Mt. Pleasant. Also two sisters, Mrs Spurgeon Aitken, Walliston, Mass and Mrs Charles Stewart, Summerside. One daughter, Mrs. MacKenzie predeceased him in March 1956.
