Narrative

There was a marriage record for a Boyd Livingston and Sarah Dixon at Zion Presbyterian Church in 1886, and Boyd gave his status as married in the 1891 census - but he was living with his parents, and there was no wife in the household.

The MacPhail family history made the assumption that Sarah died. There were no recorded children from this marriage. A Massachusetts newspaper reported that Sarah Carr Dixon asked to have her marriage annulled.

Boyd married Daisy Marshall from PEI in Massachusetts in 1896, stating it was his first marriage. There were three sons in the 1911 census: Adam, Gordon, and Loyd (probably the son later called Watson).

Sarah Dixon also remarried in Massachusetts.

In his obituary, he was survived by his widow and five children: Adam in Kingston, Gordon and Parker in Medford, Mass., Watson and Ina at home.

In Loving Memory of Boyd Livingston

Dad bade no one a last farewell
Dad said goodbye to none
His heart had ceased to beat
Before we knew he'd gone
His cheery smile to recall
Dad had a smile for everyone
And died beloved by all
