Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Roderick McNeill for more than 64 years a well-known resident of the Nantasket section at Montana Avenue. Mr McNeill died Friday. He was born 84 years ago in Nova Scotia and came here when a young man. The bearers were Daniel McLeod, John Dyment, George Fisher, Peter Foley, John Foley and Andrew Crawford. It was one of the largest funerals that this section has had for many years attesting to the high esteem in which Mr Mcneil wa held by his many friends and neighbors. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs Arthur Anderson and a son, Goerge McNeil, both of Hingham. Boston Globe 18 April 1927
