Dorinda Winifred graduated from Somerville High School Massachusetts in 1914, according to the Annual Report of the City of Somerville, 1914.

Cambridge Chronical 15 July 1916 "The East End Christian union opened its playground for the season on Wednesday, July fifth, with an enrolment of 131, which has since Increased to 280 In number. The children are supervised in their games and handwork by Miss Jessie S. Dawson and by Miss Dorinda Winifred Tufts. On Tuesday more than fifty little girls, from eight to ten years of age, Journeyed with Miss Tufts and with Miss Alden to Spot Pond for a day's outing."

In her grandfather's obituary, William and Carrie's daughter Winifred was reported to be living in New York City (around 1930), and she was still living in New York City at the time of her mother's death in 1940. She was a school teacher in New York according to census records. Winnifred died in Nova Scotia around 1957, unmarried.
