Note

Walter Palmer Brace was born in 1860 in Charlottetown, youngest son of George Brace and Hannah Mann.

In the 1881 Canadian census he was living in Charlottetown with his parents, working as a sash-maker. Later that year, a son Brenton Brace was born to Walter Brace and Emma Gregory and baptized at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Charlottetown. No marriage was found for Emma Gregory, and no further records for her or for their son.
Sometime after that Walter emigrated to the Boston area. On his marriage record to Sarah Thomas Shaw in Massachusetts in 1897 at the age of 38, he claimed that this was his first marriage.

Walter and Sarah can be found in the 1900 US census (under the name Prace) and in 1910 (under Brese). In 1920 and 1930, he was living in Taunton, Mass. with his wife Sarah. They do not seems to have had any children. Walter worked as a carpenter. He died sometime after 1940.
