Annie married John H. McLeod from Lot 26 PEI, son of Philip McLeod and Ann McDonald in Massachusetts in 1899 (name transcribed as Jatm on familysearch.org records, checked 1881 census - dates fit). Annie and John don't seem to have had any children, but their names are difficult to single out in census records.

In 1918, Annie (Cain) McLeod, a divorced woman, married James F. Dowd, a widower policeman with one son Charles. Mrs. Annie Dowd was a widow in the 1930 census, living in Hull Massachusetts with her step-son Charles Dowd. Since it was probably her step-son who provided the information on her death record, that could account for the wrong name of her mother (Augustine Cain, father but Margaret Dyment, mother). Annie died of Chronic TB. Her name on this record was Sarah Annie Dowd.
