Notes
Note
At first, I thought that George's son Hugh would be the Hugh who married Marion Smith, or the Hugh who married Johanna Brooks.
However, Hugh was "deprived of sight" according to a land transfer record signed by his father George and grandfather John in 1837.
None of the Hugh Ramsays in Lot 13 had any indication of a disability on the 1861 census - although perhaps Hugh just had very poor eyesight that he learned to live with.
I'm assuming that Hugh would be the third son, born after his two brothers who were named for their grandfathers; he would have been born before 1837.
