Narrative

Son of George McCarter Dyment and Sarah Harris.

George's middle name was pronounced "Sway-bee", according to my father. The Rev. Swabey baptized and married a number of Dyments in the Lot 13 area of PEI.
George married Gertrude Almena Litchfield in Boston in 1904, and he and Gertrude and daughter Leta were living with the Litchfield family in 1910 in Hingham, Massachusetts.
Leta seems to have been their only child.
In the 1940 census, George and Gertrude were living with adopted daughter Josephine Sargent, age 17.
1942: Old Man Draft Card; George's year of birth was 1879, and he worked for the Hingham Water Company.

Survived by daughter Mrs Arthur Hurley of Hull, three brothers, Robert, Charles and Walter and 5 sisters, Mrs Jane Hooper, Mrs Elizabeth Foley and Mrs Ann Maxwell and Mrs Loretta Baugher and Mrs Nellie Dyer.
