Note
Catherine Cain, a single woman, was living with William and Ellen in 1901, and was William's sister in law. According to her obituary, she came to take care of her sister Ellen, and became ill herself.
Unsourced family tree on Ancestry says that Ellen was the sister of Augustine Cain, who married Elizabeth Dyment, and that they were the children of John Thomas Cain and Catherine McDonald. Both Ellen and Augustine Cain said that their father was born in Newfoundland, and mother on PEI, on the 1891 census.
