Date of marriage and dates of birth of children from Margate/Princetown Church records. Margate records say married early in 1803; marriage license from the Cash License Book says October 24 1803, John Ramsay and Mary McGugan.
John, the eldest son, married in 1803, had purchased 100 ac. adjoining his mother's and on the SE eight years earlier on Sept 18, 1804 (PEIPARO, R.G.16, 12/207)

This is not the John Ramsay described as being Neil's son on the 1855 Patriotic Fund list for Port Hill. John was not named in his father's will.
