Narrative

Elizabeth Abbott McArthur was the daughter of Alexander and Emily (McLean). She married Charles Louis Colwill.

On September 29 1964 residents of Northam and vicinity were saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs Charles Colwill (nee Elizabeth McArthur) age years at the Toronto General Hospital.

Mrs Colwill had spent the summer months visiting on PEI and just just returned to her oldest granddaughter's, Alice, Mrs Urban Harding in Toronto at whose home she had resided for the past 12 years and was lovingly cared for in the past few years.

Mrs Colwill was loved by all who were fortunate enough to have her acquaintance. She was always cheerful and willing to give a helpful hand never sparing herself. Her home was always open to young and old.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs Lena Clark of Toronto, one son Harvey, Sherbrook and one son Athol predeceased her six years ago, also one sister Mrs Ernest Birch, Port Hill.
