Narrative

Curtis Lord Boulter was born in 1877 in O'leary, PEI and died on 11 Mar 1944 in Walpole, MA, USA. He gave various dates on records. The PEI Baptismal Index gave October, he gave 25 August 1877 on an immigration form, and April 25 1877 on his WWII Old man Draft Card.

He married Florence (Flossie) Currie on 25 Jun 1902 in Walpole, MA, USA. Flossie was born on 30 Jan 1881 in Springfield West, PEI, the daughter of Samuel Currie and Mary Mcarthur. Curt and Florence were first cousins through their mothers. They had a daughter who died young (Olive M Boulter died in 1912 at the age of 5), and other sources say there were an additional three children who also died young.

After Florence died, Curtis married Mary MacDonald on 2 Mar 1921 in Providence, RI, USA. Mary MacDonald was born on 26 Oct 1892 in PEI. Died on 29 Jun 1922 in Norwood, MA, USA (29 May 1922). They had one child, Roland Chapman Boulter, who was born on 3 Oct 1921 in Walpole, MA, USA. He died on 8 Apr 1944 in Germany.

Mary's death at a young age was noted in the Summerside Journal in 1922 (from PEI ancestry):

Sadness has been cast over the town of East Walpole, Mass., by the loss of a young woman there who was pleasant and always ready to help. She went there from the vicinity of Charlottetown, P.E.I., and married Mr. Curtis L. Boulter, formerly of O'Leary, who had bought a cosy little home and had a custom-made tailoring business well established. There was born to them a son, Roland Chapman Boulter, and Mr. and Mrs. Boulter had made extensive plans for a two months' vacation by auto to Prince Edward Island, when an operation for appendicitis had to be performed. She died in Norwood Hospital, Norwood, Mass., on June 20th. Those left to mourn are her husband, mother, Mrs. Christina McDonald of Charlottetown, P.E.I., four sisters and three brothers.

Curtis married again, to Anna Brown.
