Sarah Feavyour and Orton (Horton) Simpson were the parents of Percy Bertram Simpson. On Percy's birth record, his mother was born on Prince Edward Island. However, on the 1900 US census, Sarah said she was born in England. She had been married for 21 years, and had had 2 children. She had emigrated to the United States in 1868. She also gave England as the place of birth of her daughter Miriam, age 18, who had emigrated in 1882.
Orton was a glass packer, and Miriam was a stenographer. Son Percy was at school.
In the 1910 census, Sarah gave Canada as her place of birth. She and Orton were on their own.
