Sarah married George Turner on 19 Apr 1870 in the Church of England in Port Hill. James Birch and Harriet McLean were witnesses, Sarah and George had three children - Ellen, Hugh and Margaret. George died in 1877.

In the 1881 census, "Sarah Furnor" was age 40 and a widow, living in Lot 13 with Eliza Ellen (10), Hugh (9) and Margaret (7). Sarah was a farmer. (PEI Census, 1881, Lot 13, page 32)

Sarah was in the 1891 census in Lot 13 with her three children, under the name Sarah Waldron. Her status was married, but John Waldron was not living with the family.

A man named Hugh Turner from Tyne Valley was charged with starting a fire and burning a building in the community in 1910, and 13 years later, Sarah died in a house fire. She had been living with her son Hugh, who was at home at the time of the fire, but was unable to rescue his mother.
