My Family Tree

Charlotte was the daughter of John McFadyen of Augustine Cove. She said on the 1891 census that both of her parents were born on the Island. From the history of North Tryon, Remembering Yesterday:

She married Charles R. Lord on 22 Aug 1833.

Charles and Charlotte had children:

Archibald b. 17 Aug 1843.

Charles Stanfield, a minister, b. 1859, d. 1925

The Argus carried the following news on 23 Feb. 1875: Died- At Tryon on the 5th. inst., after an illness of 4 years of severe suffering, which he bore with Christian resignation to the will of His Heavenly Father, Charles R Lord, age 70yrs..
