"We regret to learn from the Pioneer that Mr Thomas McArthur of Lot 10 recently lost 3 of his children by that dread disease, Diphtheria. One boy, aged about 14 years had apparently recovered but took a relapse and died. Examiner Monday February 1, 1892

In the 1891 census, Thomas and his wife Eliza J. were living with John James, Mary Anne, Garfield, Alice, Carrie, Benjamin. Garfield could be the Arthur Garfield, born 31 July 1882 to Thomas and Mary J. McArthur - small mistake made by the minister?
