Jane must have stayed in Scott, Iowa when other members of the family moved to Colorado. She was a housekeeper in 1885, and Jane Woodside, age 54 and born in Canada, was living with the Anderson family in the 1895 Iowa State census. She was a Baptist, and single.
There was a Jane Woodside, b. 1840, in the 1905 Iowa census. In city directories for Davenport she was the only Woodside listed, from about 1888 up to about 1910.

Miss Jane Woodside aged 75 died yesterday at the Cook Home in West Davenport. She had been ailing since last February. Deceased was born in Canada in 1840 and came to the Cook Home in 1902.
