William C, Dyment 86, of Packard St., the oldest active member of the Lancaster Fire Department died Tuesday at home. a resident of this town for the past 84 years, he was born on Prince Edward Island, Canada, the son of Humphrey and Maria (McWilliams) Dyment and was the husband of the late Nellie (O'Malley) Dyment. Mr. Dyment, still active in the fire department, was honored by local residents at the Bicentennial parate in which he was marshal, He was an Army Veteran of WW1 and a charter member of the American Legion. He leaves two sons and one daughter; a sister Annie Leach of Lancaster and two grandchildren. Sentinel and Enterprise, December 29 1976
