Narrative
Son of Malcolm McGougan and Catherine McCallum
Mr Duncan McGougan passed peacefully away at his residence in Malpeque on Sunday evening at the great age of 90 years. The deceased, who was one of the most prosperous farmers in the districtand whose long life had been identified with its best interests had been in his usual good health until about a month ago. He will perhaps be remembered in the Island's history as the last survivor but one of the Fanny to the gold fields of California in 1849.
There are left to mourn 6 sons and 3 daughters, George and Miss Flora at home, Sinclair of Malpeque, W. K. of Summerside, Dr. Charles of Oregon, J. Owen of Los Angeles; W. L. of tochester, Nevada; Mrs Eugene Craswell of Malpeque, Mrs J. T. McKay, Sea view. 1914 newspaper clipping
