Narrative

Mr. Charles Auld of Clyde River passed peacefully away on Sunday evening July 13th at the age of sixty seven years. He had not been enjoying good health for some time but his condition was not considered serious and many hoped to see him restored to health.

Mr. Auld was a hard working and prosperous farmer of Clyde River, upright and honest in all his dealings with his fellow man.

Besides a sorrowing widow he leaves to mourn their loss a family of two daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. George Beer, Kingston and Mrs. Cecil Scott, of Clyde River. The sons are Bertram and Ira, of Clyde River.

Narrative

The other Charles Auld living in the same area of PEI was Charles Higgins Auld, son of Isabella Stead and James Auld. He married Margaret Ramsay, daughter of George Ramsay and Mary McCallum, from Lot 17. They had one surviving son, James Allen Ramsay Auld.

If there is a connection between the two Auld families, it is remote.
