JOHN ENGLAND.

John England, a respected resident of this locality, passed away at his home, 2476 Massachusetts avenue, last week Friday after a long illness. Mr. England had been in poor health for several years past. Two years ago he went to Denver, Colo., for the benefit of his health, and had returned to this city in July, much Improved. However, after being here a short while, his Illness returned, and he rapidly grew worse, until the end came. The deceased was a native of Prince Edward island, where he first saw the light of day nearly forty-eight years ago. He had been a resident of this city for upwards of thirty years. He was a carpenter by trade and for several years was employed as foreman for Frank Coburn, the builder.

He leaves a wife Johanna, and one little daughter. Gladys.

Five brothers, William, Edward Frank. Amos and James England and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bent, of Jamaica Plain. Mrs. J. O'Nell. of Somerville, and Mrs. A Magee, of this city also survive him. [A sister in Canada was omitted]

The funeral took place Sunday afternoon with services at St. John's chapel, Rindge avenue, at 2 o'clock. Rev. Fr. McCool officiated. The funeral was well attended and Ronton Aerie. No. 45 Order of Eagles, of which the deceased' was a member, wns represented by Charles r.avls, the president, Joseph Clancy and Dr. Deehan. There were many beautiful floral tributes. The body was laid to rest In the Cambridge cemetery.
