James Anderson named in will of Robert Anderson.
JAMES and EUPHEMIA farmed the Anderson property which is now owned by George
MacEwen. The Anderson home was located on the same site as today, that is, next to
Anderson's bridge. The only way that the Anderson family could access the main New London
highway before the Route 6 road was built, in the early 1900's was along a lane. This lane
came onto the road {#224} near the old school 'in the hollow'. The new highway was certainly
a great time-saver for the Anderson and Pickering families. James and Euphemia had two
children: Mary and Robert II.
1. Mary (1873-1972) m. Everett Clark (1870-1937). Everett's family formerly came
from Tryon. They lived in Summerside and had a family of three children:

2. ROBERT II (Nov. 12, 1877-June 2, 1938) son of James and Euphemia MacLure
Anderson m. Feb. 16, 1904 to AGNES SIMPSON (May 25, 1877-Apr. 15, 1933)
daughter of Junius and Jane MacEwen Simpson of Hope River Road. Their farm
was located alongside Anderson's Creek. Robert also worked at the National Park,
Cavendish, after it was established.
