Note

Family trees say he was the son of Neil McFadyen (born Mull, Scotland 1781) and Margaret Campbell. These Augustine Cove McFadyens came from Mull a few years before the McFadyens in Clyde River.

Hector (1815-1881) married Margaret Bell. They had six children: Ann, Elizabeth, Sardty (Sarah?) Jane, John and Neil H.
Ann married Major Clark
John who married Emma Ramsay, He later moved to Western
Canada.
Neil Hector married Eliza Lowther and farmed Their two daughters were Margaret who married Thomas Carruthers; and Minnie who married Finley MacFadyen.

He could be the Hector McFadyen in Lot 29 in the 1841 census.
