Narrative

Daisy had been living in Boston with her brother Nelson and her mother Olivia, working as a stenographer. She had gone to Sarnia to visit her sister Bertha, who was with the Salvation Army. They had planned to spend their August birthdays together. Daisy, the stronger swimmer, attempted to save her sister.

A Daisy Brace memorial service will be held at the Salvation Army in t he People's Palace on Sunday. Daisy Brace and her sister Ensign Mary Brace, both of the army, were recently drowned in Canada. Miss Daisy Brace was secretary to Col. Gifford in this city.
