My Family Tree

I am placing this John McArthur with the family of Malcolm McArthur and Ann McDougall.

There were a few families where a John McArthur would fit.

No records for children of Malcolm and Ann were found in the PEI Baptismal Index. Most family trees list the following children: Hugh, Neil, Peter, Mary, Marion, Barbara, Euphemia, Margaret, John, Ellen, Duncan, Robert and George.

But he could also have been a son of James McArthur and Marion/Miriam Smith.

There is a John McArthur, born on the Island about 1831, living in Kent County in the 1861 NB census. This John doesn't seem to have married.

Or he could be the John McArthur who married Catherine McArthur, also known as Catherine McLaughlin, in 1831.

There is also the John in Port Hill, who had children Neil, Isaac and Flora. This might not be correct, but I am placing John here.

John could also be the father of Ann Maria McArthur Bryant.

And he fits with the John McArthur, Lot 13, who died suddenly in 1840, leaving a wife and 5 children.
