Some of the genealogies in this local history are better than others. The Dyment history is full of errors and omissions,possibly because the Dyments were not residents of Port Hill, but the Maynard and Birch families are quite complete. A number of newspaper items are listed after each family.
Volume 1 is a very interesting social history of Port Hill.
