Narrative
A Charles Ramsay, son of Nathan and Elizabeth and born on the Island, married Susan Wisener in Boston Massachusetts in 1882. He was age 35, living in Pennsylvania, and working as a foreman in a coal mine. It was his second marriage.
Charles was said to be in Illinois at the time of his father's death. He is possibly the Charles James Ramsay, son of Nathan, born 2 August 1845, who died in Illinois in 1928. This Charles was born in Canada in 1845, and was a retired coal mine examiner. His wife was Angela.
He was, therefore, perhaps the Charles Ramsay married to Angelina in Pennsylvania in the 1880 US census, with children Margaret, Eleanor and Edward.
In any event, he was not named as a surviving brother in his sister Margaret's obituary, in 1925, and no brother or sisters were named in brother Albert's obituary in 1929, so likely died before this date.
Susan and Alma Ramsay were in Mount Olive Illinois in 1900. Charles was not in the household.
