Narrative
There is an Elizabeth Downing in Bideford cemetery, wife of George Burleigh Sr.. She died in 1877 at the age of 55, which makes her a good fit with this family. However, the book Roots and Branches by Pauline Millar says that George Burleigh's wife was Elizabeth Downham (1819-1877).
An Elizabeth Downing married James Grieg in 1848.
