William was either William Gregor, or William McGregor. In his obituary he was called Wm. Gregory McCausland.

At the Manse, Alberton, on March 21st, by the same, Mr. Wm. McAuslin to Miss Elizabeth Horn, both of Lot 5

In the 1911 census, there were also daughters Mary, age 5 and Daisey age 4. Since Elizabeth was age 60 in that census it seems more likely that they were grand-daughters.

At the family home, Mill River East, september 11 1918, Mr. Wm. Gregory McCausland passed peacefully into the silent rest at the age of seventy two years leaving to mourn their sad loss six daughters and three sons. the daughters are Mrs. Irwin Ferguson, Mount Edward Rd., Mrs. Benjamin Sentner, Loyalist; Mrs Eli McLean and Mrs Harry Ferguson, Charlottetown; Mrs. Edward Hayward, Elmsdale and Miss Sarah at home. The sons are Melvin, Elmsdale; Irving, Ludlow, Mass and Daniel, at home.

The wife and mother had passed over the dividing line two years previous to the death of her husband, as also one son, whose passing made the first break in the happy family.

The family had a reunion in 1929 at the home of Mrs Eli McLean in Charlottetown. Attending were Mr and Mrs Irving McAusland, Cambridge, Mass; Mrs Jennie Ferguson; Mrs Benjamin Sentner, Loyalist; Mrs Eli McLean, Mrs Harry Ferguson; Miss Sadie McAusland, Mrs Edward C. Haywood and Melvin and Daniel McAusland.
