Julia said she was born 1845 on the US 1900 census, and she reduced the ages of most of her children. They had settled in Cambridge, Massachusetts: with her were John (1870), Addie (1872), Edward (Edgar -1876), Daniel (1881), Harry (1883), and Annie (1875). John had emigrated in 1890, and the rest after the 1891 census.

Only Ada and Alexander Harold were with her in the 1910 US census. Julia said she had 6 children, all living. Ada died in 1918. In the 1919 Cambridge directory, Julianne, William E. and Daniel were at 76 Hammond. The next year, only Daniel was at that address.

It is likely she was the Julia Elder, widow of Alexander, living in Brunswick Maine in 1932. Her daughter Annie was in the same place. She wasn't in the death index for Massachusetts from 1931-1945.

ELDER--In Brunswick, Maine., Jan. 6. Julia Ann. widow of Alexander Elder, aged 92 years.
