This is likely the Angus McFadyen, bachelor, who married Isabella Morrow, both of Hillsborough Parish Feb 12 1827.

Angus and Isabella sold land to the church trustees (George Dixon, Neil McCallum, John Auld, John Hyde, William Henry Hyde), for the Burnside Presbyterian Church around 1856.

The Angus McFadyen in Meacham's Patron's Directory was described as a farmer on the Baltic Road, Lot 31. A native of Scotland. Date of settlement, 1807.

John McFadyen of Lot 31 was involved in a land transaction with Angus, the shipwright, and his wife Isabella in 1867, but there was no mention of a relationship between the two men, other than business. This could have been Angus and Isabella's son John.

Angus McFadyen died in 1880.

The children of Angus and Isabella named in his will were:
John
Alexander
Mary - wife of Angus Gillis (perhaps the Margaret McFadyen who married Angus Gillis in 1856, Donald McFadyen witness)
Christianna
Gertrude - wife of James McLellan

John (1828-1896) and Alexander McFadyen, sons of Angus the carpenter from Dog River Lot 31, settled in Lot 11. They were said to be the sons of Angus and Catherine Murray, but this was probably Angus and Isabella Morrow. Morrow and Murray were two spellings used for the same last name at the time.

John McFadyen 1828-1896 born Dog River, both parents born Scotland
m. Rose Alice Smallwood. 4 children -
Angus Alexander born 1861, born Clyde River
George 1866
Charles 1871
Elizabeth 1869

Alexander McFadyen 1842-1930 from Clyde River, carpenter, moved to Grand River PEI

Other nearby families - Donald McFadyen, of Elliot River, widower, married Flora Livingston in 27 Mar 1855, by Rev. Snodgrass, in Dog River, with Peter McFadyen and James Darrach as witnesses. This could be Angus 1's brother.
