Lytle Little, Mary

Birth Name Lytle Little, Mary
Gender female
Age at Death 74 years, 6 months, 25 days

Narrative

There were two girls baptized with this name in Dumfries around 1791:
Mary Little, daughter of John and Margaret (Edgar), baptized 24 April 1791 in Kirkpatrick-Fleming, and the Mary baptized on 11 Nov 1791 in Langholm, daughter of William and Janet (Paisley). The location of Kirkpatrick-Fleming, where William and Mary's eldest children were baptized makes the first May Little more likely. However, not every child was baptized at that time.

She was likely the Mary Johnstone in the 1861 census, Lot 20, with a household of two women, the younger woman being her unmarried daughter Margaret.

I was unable to find a death notice in the vital statistics taken from the Summerside Progress or the Islander published on the Island Register. According to her gravestone she died in 1866 in her 74th year.
