The many friends and relatives of Mrs Donald McKenzie were shocked when thety received a telegram stating that she had died suddenly of apoplexy at her home in Assiniboia, Sask on Tuesday March 22 1921 at the age of 62 years. The remains were taken to Northam accompanied by her husband on the 28th. The late Mrs McKenzie was the second daughter of the late Alexander McArthur, Enmore. After her marriage to Mr Mckenzie they lived in Springhill for a number of years. They afterwards moved to the West. She was a consistent member of the Presbyterian Church and always took an active part in all church work. Her home was always open to the stranger; she was always looking to the welfare of others and to the sick she always was a comforter never tired of doing good. She leaves to mourn a sorrowing husband, namely John C. of Vancouver BC and J. L. of Assiniboia, Sask also a brother Albert McArthur, Enmore; two sisters, Mrs M. D. McLeod, Summerside and Mrs Ewan Campbell, Charlottetown. The funeral was held from the home of her nephew, Dan McArthur, Northam, on Tuesday March 29th.
