Rita was the daughter of George Dyment and Ellen Jane Silliker.

Rita was married three times.

Rita married Thomas Jelley in Maine in 1909. Thomas married again in New Hampshire, so the marriage probably ended in divorce.

Rita's second marriage was to Harold Vernon Butler in 1914 in Malden. By the time of the 1920 US census, they had two sons, Harold and Ellory. Harold died in 1922.

Rita then married Richard James Adams, in 1923 in Boston (Reta M. (Dyment) Butler). By the time of the 1940 US census they had two sons. Richard emigrated from PEI in 1923.

Son Harold's obituary listed three brothers: Ellery, James Adams and George Adams.

My grandmother Loretta ( Rita) Dyment was also from PEI, her second (or third) husband was Richard James Adams also from PEI. I think Loretta had 10 or 11 brothers and sisters. She lived in Massachusetts until her death in 1983.

From another posting:

"I just found a list my grandmother ( Rita Dyment) sent to my Dad to send out wedding invitations ( in 1952). She lists her sibblings in Mass. as Earle, James W., John, William A., Fred, Leslie, Edith, Ann and Alice."
