Alexander's will was in the wills not recorded section of PEI Wills, and right after it was the will of the older Alexander McArthur of Lot 14, although the index only indicated one will for an Alexander McArthur.

Alexander McArthur, farmer of Arlington, Lot 14, asks that his body be buried in Lot 14 cemetery. Bequests were to his daughter Ellen, and son Elijah. Elijah was to provide a home to his mother, Christy, and his sister Maggie. Executors were his friends James Phillips, John Ramsay and John Cameron. Dated 28 March 1889, Proved 4 March 1890. Lib 12, Folio 429

Christy was a widow (Christy Arthur) in Lot 14 in the next census, with her son Elijah. Christy and Elijah went to Massachusetts, where Elijah worked as a ship carpenter.
