A correspondent telegraphs from Kingston (Kent Co.): Rev. John BOYD, minister of Presbyterian Church, Bass River, while on his way home about 9 o'clock was thrown over a bridge by his horse taking fright. He sustained fatal injuries and died in about two hours after the accident. The fall was 20 feet. He leaves a wife and two little ones. It was over this same bridge that Donald McKENDRICK met his death somewhat similarly a few years ago.

On Sunday afternoon, Daniel McKENDRICK, age about 60, was returning from church in a sleigh, accompanied by his wife and another female, and while crossing a bridge that spans Bass River (Kent Co.) {the bridge being without a railing and the planking not pinned down} his horse, a spirited young animal, became restive and the two females got out of the sleigh, Mr. McKENDRICK remained and immediately after the horse made a spring off the bridge on to the ice, a distance of 20 feet. Mr. McKENDRICK was killed on the spot and the sleigh smashed in fragments, but, strange to say, the horse escaped without injury.
