Notes
Note
Annie Murl (or Merle/Meril) was born in New Brunswick about 1873, daughter of Thomas and Sarah Jane (Chappell). The family was in Tyne Valley for the 1881 and the 1891 census. They had moved to the Island around 1880, when Annie was 6, and most of the children in this family said on later census records that they were born on the Island.
Annie was not living with her mother in 1901.
This could be her baptismal record as an adult - her sister Phoebe Jane was baptized on the same day:
Child's Full Name Mary Ann Morrill
Place of Birth Tyne Valley
Baptismal Date 13 June 1891
Officiating Clergy Thomas Corbett
Father's Name Morrill
Mother's Name Chappell
Church Name Presbyterian

PEI records say that Mary Green from Central Bedeque married Hugh Turner from Tyne Valley on 15 June 1899. Hugh was living with his mother Sarah in 1901, in Lot 13. Hugh's wife was called Annie, born on the Island February 14 1872. They had two children, Bray and Maynard.
However, the records for Myrtle Leola, Emanuel Bray and Maynard Turner say their parents were Hugh Turner and Annie MURL. They were baptized years apart, and each record has the same name of mother.
Hugh's wife was Mary in the 1911 census, born January 1874, which argues for a wife named Mary Ann.
I haven't been able to find a Mary, Annie, Marion or Marianne Green from Central Bedeque (Lot 26) in the 1881 or 1891 census, even allowing for a date of birth between 1865-1877. Colin Green from Lot 13 had a daughter Mary, but she was Mary Elizabeth and she married Daniel Bell.
So either (1) Mary Green Turner died before 1901, and Hugh married again, or (2) Mary Green and Annie Murl were the same person. There are no gravestones for Mary, Annie, or Hugh.
A family tree on Ancestry says that Mary Green Turner died in Nova Scotia, but there is no record for her in the online Nova Scotia archives. I couldn't find them in the 1921 census, but Hugh was living with his mother in 1923.
On their marriage records, one son said his mother was Mary Green, the other said she was Mrs A. Green.
There is a death record for Mary Turner, who died in Port Elgin in 1930, a widow born on P.E.I. Her year of birth was 1874, and she died at age 56. However, her son Bray Turner claimed to not know her husband's name, or the names of her parents. The officer wrote on the side of the form that he had failed to get complete information from the son. She had been in the province for 8 years before her death. There is a note "*see special file", but I doubt it still exists.
