I have only a local history that says that James Ramsay from Lot 16 belongs with this branch of the Ramsay family.
James Ramsay married Flora Campbell in 1855. James Hutchinson and William Rockfort were witnesses, and John McLeod was the Presbyterian Minister.

In the 1861 census, there was one James Ramsay in Lot 16, a married couple with three boys under the age of 16. The older man in the household was between 21-45 years old, or born between 1816-1840. A family named Rockfort lived next to them.
Flora died in 1869 at the age of 42, leaving her husband and 8 children. The obituary for Artemis Ramsay said his brothers were Edward (ie Edmund) in Southwest Lot 16, and Alexander and Parmines in Denver, Colorado. Hugh Parmines Ramsay said his parents were James and Flora (Campbell) on his marriage record.
The history of Belmont, Lot 16 said that Glen and Claude Ramsay, sons of Artemis, were the grandsons of Michael Ramsay and Ann Smith.
I was unable to find a second marriage for James, and it looks like the children were scattered after their mother's death.
