Dyment, George Leslie

Birth Name Dyment, George Leslie 1a 2a
Gender male
Age at Death 87 years, 3 months, 24 days

Narrative

Son of George Dyment and Ellen Jane Silliker.

At the time of the 1917-1918 draft, Leslie was a pile driver in Massachusetts and single.

George Leslie married Blanche Ada MacDougall.

A Massachusetts city directory has George and Blanche Dyment, but the 1930 census record for George L. Dyment, b. 1894, give his wife's name as Mary L. and his daughter's name as Dorothy P.

It looks like Leslie and Blanche separated. In the 1940 US census, George L. Diamond age 46 was living in lodgings. He gave his occupation as owner of a fuel company, and his marital status as married.
He gave his brother Alton's name as a contact on his "Old Man Draft Card" in 1942, and noted that he was the owner of Dyment Oil and Ice. In the 1940 US census, Ada Dyment was living with her daughter Phyllis.

"Billion Graves" had a gravestone for A. Blanche Dyment (1900-1990) and Phyllis B (or D) 1923-1991.
