McAusland, Elizabeth Maude

Daughter of John McAusland and Sarah Barlow.
On the 1880 map of Lot 13, the name on the 72 acre farm across the road from the Charles Dyment farm is Samuel McCauslang, and in the PEI Baptism Index the name has been transcribed as "McCausland" or "McCauslin". According to A Century of Farewells, James McAusline immigrated to P.E.I. c.1815 from Northern Ireland with his brothers Samuel, Archibald, and John. Samuel married Flora Ramsay (b. 1814), daughter of Donald Ramsay and Margaret Penman. Their son John and his wife Sarah Barlow were Elizabeth's parents. Elizabeth Maud McAuslin is in Lot 13, age 5, in the 1881 census.
Elizabeth's name was given as McAusline in the newspaper article announcing her marriage to Watson.
Guardian January 1958: Sympathy is being extended to the family of Mrs. Watson Dyment, a most respected citizen, whose death occurred at her home recently.
